Steve Jobs misses Mac Expo

Mac World, the annual expo that celebrates everything that is Mac is going to lose its star attraction. Time on this net edition reported that Steve Jobs is not going to attend the expo this year and added that this would be the last year that Apple would be taking part in this annual event. It is to be noted that IPhone and Ipod are all declared and presented to the public for the first time in this expo years back. Fans of Mac are expecting Steve Jobs to make public Apple’s plans to make a net centric notebook to compete with IBM’s Idea Pad and similar products hitting stores from other PC makers. Rumours are ripe that Steve Jobs has become thin due to pancreatic cancer and his public appearance would affect the stocks of the company in these times of economic turmoil. In fact, when Apple released the press note about Steve not participating in the expo, the stock price of Apple fell by two percentage points. It can be said that there is no other company in the world whose fortunes are dependent on the health of its CEO. A survey of computer users states that the purchase of Macs fell by one percent while that of PCs increased by two percent.

Steve Jobs, the person who is behind all the technology innovation we are seeing in the computers and mobile devices is destined for more such successes and the technology landscape is as much dependent on his health as it is on the consumers. There is no denying the fact about it. All that we can do is wish for his good health.
