If a list of corrupt bureaucrats in the world is made, there is no doubt that India will give strong competition to the rest of world. And the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials of Andhra Pradesh have just caught a strong contender for the top slot to represent the state there. Special Deputy Collector for land collections (Industries) Ramgopal Rao has amassed wealth of around Rs 4,80,82,892/- and the officials are still counting his wealth when the last reports came. This is the first time for ACB to catch an official who amassed such a huge amount of wealth. He was caught on twenty fifth of this month accepting a bribe of twenty one lakhs. His wife informed the government that the assets were bought by the earnings of their company “SSAARGRAP”. However there are no records to prove any sales made by the company except purchasing.Is he leading the list? Are there others who are far ahead than him? Chances are there are hell lot of them.
